Students in Free EnterpriseOur Story on Campus SIFE, Students In Free Enterprise, was founded on Brenau’s campus in January 2004, and became recognized in April. The first Sam Walton Fellow, Dr. Gregory Chase began recruiting not only business majors but students in education, theatre, and mass communications. SIFE is a global, non-profit organization that is changing the world. In SIFE, members practice and teach the principles of free enterprise, as well as the foundation of market economics, business ethics, success skills, financial literacy, sustainability, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship through outreach projects practiced within Brenau and the community. Every year, our SIFE members attend competition where we present the projects we have successfully completed. In 2004, Brenau’s SIFE team received the “Rookie of the Year” award. In 2005, Brenau's SIFE team also received Second Runner Up at the Atlanta Regional Competition. As a SIFE team, we have been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Marcus Foundation and a $1,000 grant from HSBC Financial Literacy Grant. Each year our SIFE team continues to grow larger and larger. If you are interested in joining this awesome team, contact one of the executives and we will happily give you the information needed to join. |
