You can receive credit for what you already know!
Backed by the college Board, CLEP and DSST are the most respected, widely accepted credit-by-examination programs available. The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for knowledge that you have gained through on-the-job training, independent or prior studies.
Brenau accepts credit for 29 of the 34 CLEP examinations available in such subject as Composition and Literature, Science and Mathematics, Foreign Languages, History and Social Sciences and Business. Since Brenau is an official CLEP testing site you do not have to be enrolled at Brenau in order to take a CLEP test at the center.
Dantes Standardized Subject Test (DSST) accredited by the American Council on Education (ACE) offers 38 tests in Social Science, Business, Mathematics, Applied Technology, Humanities and Physical Science. Currently Brenau accepts 7 of these exams for credit.
Foreign Language Achievement Test (FLAT) is offered through Brigham Young University. These exams allow a student the opportunity to exempt from taking a foreign language if English is their second language. These are currently 58 FLAT exams available for students to take.
The Learning Center at Brenau also offes proctoring services for students taking online courses from other colleges.
